His experience includes all aspects of domestic upholstery, marine fit-outs, and commercial fit-outs such as restaurants, offices etc. He has worked extensively with the health industry including Cairns Base Hospital, Qld Health and Arc Disability services.
Each year he does the upholstery for Cairns Wheelchair Clinic for ARC Disabilities and Queensland Health where he modifies wheelchairs for the special needs of children. He also provides regular service to Cairns Honda and ScooterCo as well as other motorcycle companies recovering motorbike seats.
His specialty and favourite work is high-end antique and retro furniture restoration.
Philosophy?
Rob has reached a stage where he is no longer interested in empire-building. These days he wants a business/life where he can produce work that he is proud of, have good personal relations with his clients, as well as having a comfortable life.
Rob does ALL the work from start to finish and in doing so he stakes his reputation on every job. He always tries to make sure that the finished product is better than the original, even when it was brand new. His motto is “My word is my bond”.
